Where can you hear the sounds of bouncing basketballs, squeaking sneakers, the “swoosh” of a basketball net, and children’s laughter? These were the sights and sounds every Saturday morning at CCS for the annual Jr. Cougar Basketball Camp held during the months of November, December, and January. The children were challenged each week to develop proper basketball skills which are foundational to playing on a basketball team and closed the hour with words of instruction and encouragement from God’s Word. ”My daughter looked forward to camp each week,” said parent, Tracy Dinkel. ”It is geared for kids and I appreciated the fun approach in teaching those basketball skills.” The camp was coached by D.J. Kauffman, Erin Patrick, and Adam Clark. Assistants were Dean Benton, Caleb Green, Kyle Patrick, and Danny Posch.
