Central Christian School Exclusion Policy for Sick Children

Conditions for exclusion

  1. Auxiliary temp of 99.6 or higher
  2. Cough, severe, “croupy” or “whooping” sounds after coughing.
  3. Breathing (labored, rapid, and/or wheezing)
  4. Diarrhea
  5. Vomiting, upset stomach
  6. Yellowish tint to skin or eyes
  7. Red matting or draining eye(s)
  8. Infected areas of skin with crusty, yellow, dry area or rash, impetigo, ringworm, chicken pox
  9. Severe itching of body or scalp
  10. Fainting, seizures or general signs of listlessness, weakness, drowsiness, flushed face, headache or stiff neck.
  11. Unusual behavior

Conditions for returning

  1. Free of fever for 24 hours without fever reducing medication
  2. Symptom free
  3. Symptom free for 24 hours
  4. Symptom free or physician’s written approval to return
  5. All discharge from the eye(s) has stopped or physician’s written approval to return
  6. Skin sores are healed or 24 hours after treatment started or physician’s written approval to return.
  7. After treatment, including being free of lice and nits
